Leon County Government’s Booked for Lunch continues with local writer and photographer Katie Clark on Thursday, September 19, at 12:15 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave.
The Booked for Lunch program brings local authors to the Library in an informal setting to speak about their works during the lunch hour. Bring your lunch and join us for an illuminating hour-long conversation with Clark about her book, Acceptance of Seasons: Poems Embracing Mental Health, which focuses on how poetry and writing can be used to heal the mind.
Katie Clark has been writing poetry and capturing light and shadows in photography since high school. She's a third-generation photographer and gets her inspiration from the beauty of North Florida. Clark’s poems have been published in anthologies and her photography has been displayed in galleries across the Big Bend, including Tallahassee’s very own City Hall and the FSU Museum of Fine Arts.
Attendees should bring their own bag lunch. Refreshments will be provided. Stay tuned for the next Booked For Lunch which will feature Linda Wright on November 21.
