JJ Grey & Mofro and Earth, Wind & Fire to Perform at the Capital City Amphitheater in September

Leon County Government proudly announces two upcoming concerts this September at Capital City Amphitheater. JJ Grey & Mofro will return to the Amphitheater on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, and nine-time GRAMMY® Award-winning icons Earth, Wind & Fire will light up the stage on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 15, 2022, at noon EST.

Following two sold out performances at the Amphitheater, JJ Grey & Mofro will return to Leon County in September. From the days of playing local juke joints to headlining major festivals, the American Southern Soul Rock Band JJ Grey & Mofro remain unfettered, blissful performers, singing with a blue-collared spirit over the bone-deep grooves of JJ Grey’s compositions. Prices are $30 for General Admission, $40 for P2 Reserved and $50 for P1 Reserved.

A musical institution celebrating 52 years in entertainment, Earth, Wind & Fire is one of the bestselling artists of all time. The band has scored eight No. 1 hits, sold over 100 million albums worldwide and released 23 albums with eight albums going double-Platinum and hitting the Top 10. They've won nine Grammy® Awards including one for Lifetime Achievement and in 2000, Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, cementing a lasting impact on popular music. From the funky and infectious "Let's Groove" to the timeless dance classic "September" to the heartfelt "Reasons," Earth, Wind & Fire's catalog of hits has become the soundtrack to many lives. Prices are $40 for General Admission, $60 for P2 Reserved and $80 for P1 Reserved.
