Health Department to Provide Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine Boosters

The Florida Department of Health in Leon County will open a COVID-19 vaccination clinic on Saturday, October 9 at Roberts & Stevens (R & S) Clinic (1515 Old Bainbridge Road) from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. 

 

The clinic will have Pfizer booster shots available for eligible individuals as well as first, second and third doses of all recommended COVID-19 vaccines and flu shots.  

 

Appointments are recommended. Individuals can schedule an appointment by calling the Florida Department of Health in Leon County’s COVID-19 Call Center at (850) 404-6300, option 1.  People may also request an appointment via email at LeonCHD.Feed-back@flhealth.gov

 

The CDC recommends a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine booster shot at least six months after the primary series of Pfizer-BioNTech for the following groups: 

 

The following individuals should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer- BioNTech primary series: 

The following individuals may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their Pfizer- BioNTech primary series: 

  • People aged 18–49 years with underlying conditions 
  • People aged 18-64 years whose occupation puts them at increased risk for COVID-19, including first responders, healthcare workers, education staff, public transit and grocery store workers
