Leon County will host Greenway Day on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the J.R. Alford Greenway, 2500 Pedrick Road. Grab a pair of hiking shoes, a bike, or even a furry friend and enjoy all that the greenway has to offer.
The family-friendly event is open to citizens of all ages and appeals to interests of the young and young at heart. Attendees will be able to enjoy a day of fun in the sun and discover one of the County’s hidden treasures. Over the course of the day, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in children’s activities, hayride tours, trail explorations, demonstrations and more.
The event will highlight the greenway’s vast hiking, cycling, horseback riding, stargazing and general recreational opportunities that are available for residents to enjoy throughout the year.
