Excellence in Volunteer Management Training Series Now Open for Registration

Enhance your skills in managing and engaging volunteers effectively.

WHAT:  Excellence in Volunteer Management Training 
WHEN:  February 21-23, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 
WHERE:  Leon County ORS Gathering Room, 1907 S. Monroe St.   

Leon County invites you to participate in the annual Excellence in Volunteer Management Training Series, scheduled for February 21-23. The Excellence in Volunteer Management Training Series plays a pivotal role in fostering a stronger community by equipping volunteer coordinators with the skills to adhere to national standards, ensuring cohesive and efficient volunteer engagement that ultimately enhances community support for volunteers while offering professional growth opportunities for coordinators.

The training consists of six courses spread over three days. Participants who complete all six courses will receive the Excellence in Volunteer Management Certificate. The full series is priced at $150, with completion of all sessions required for certification. To secure a spot, please register by Friday, February 16, at LeonCountyFL.gov/VMTS.

This training series is ideal for volunteer coordinators, program managers, and anyone overseeing volunteers. It provides essential knowledge for organizing and implementing a volunteer program within nonprofit or governmental settings. Graduates will emerge with enhanced abilities to engage volunteers and manage programs or organizations more efficiently.

The sessions will be conducted by the experienced team from VolunteerLEON, who bring extensive expertise in volunteer management and coordination. The program, established over two decades ago, has equipped over 300 graduates with the skills needed to effectively manage volunteers.
