Leon County Government’s Division of Tourism invites interested participants to join the first monthly Bicentennial informational session on Tuesday, July 18, at noon. This session provides specific event-based insights into the upcoming 200th anniversary of Florida's Capital County, showcases exciting initiatives planned for the Bicentennial year, and shows how to get involved. The featured presenters for the July session will be Sean Marston of Springtime Tallahassee and Amanda Stringer of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, who are Bicentennial community partners.

The Tallahassee/Leon County Bicentennial in 2024 is a significant commemoration and celebration aimed at engaging the entire community. It will serve as a platform to share residents' experiences and stories from their individual perspectives through coordinated events and thoughtful planning. By actively participating in this milestone celebration as an individual, local business, or organization, residents will contribute to fostering a sense of unity and community pride.

To encourage broad community collaboration, the Bicentennial listening sessions will take place on the third Tuesday of every month, from noon to 1 p.m., until the end of the year. All sessions will be conducted online through the Zoom platform.
