Following the update, the Board will review and update the Leon County FY2017-2021 Strategic Plan, which provides a road map to guide the County's progress in setting the standard in public service and providing citizens and visitors alike unparalleled opportunities and experiences.

Also as part of the day, the Board will discuss re-envisioning the public library so as to leverage the library’s significant existing operating and capital resources to unlock new opportunities that address community issues and advance the Board’s priorities. Discussion will explore how libraries across the nation have identified their changing roles, refocused their priorities to align with the community's most pressing needs and sought citizen input to increase library relevance.
