County to Host Annual Strategic Planning Retreat
County to Update Strategic Plan and Discuss 5-Year Impact and Progress Report
WHO: Leon County
WHAT: Annual Retreat
WHEN: Monday, January 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: North Florida Fairgrounds, 441 E. Paul Russell Rd.
At this year's annual retreat, the Board of County Commissioners will receive the final update on Leon County's progress and how the County remained focused on a long-term plan to produce results and deliver on its ambitious vision and bold goals for the organization and our community. The County did so by engaging citizens like never before and remaining agile and innovative in the face of unprecedented challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, a human tragedy of historic proportions.
Building on the successes and the work of the last five years, the primary goal of the 2022 Retreat will be to establish the foundation for the County’s next five-year Strategic Plan on behalf of and alongside the County’s citizens. The Board will use the progress made over the past five years and the results of the most recent Community Survey to close out the current FY 2017 – 2021 Stategic Plan and establish a baseline for the FY 2022-2026 Strategic Plan.
The current strategic plan can be found at www.LeonCountyFL.gov/StrategicPlan.
The annual retreat will be broadcast on Comcast Channel 16, the Leon County Florida Channel on Roku, the County’s Facebook page, Twitter, YouTube channel and the County’s website.
