Leon County Government will be hosting its Annual Board Retreat on Monday, January 26, starting at 10 a.m. at Florida State University Senate Chambers, 75 North Woodward Avenue, Room 3010. The Senate Chambers are located inside the FSU Student Union.
At this year's annual retreat, the Leon County Board of County Commissioners will receive an update on the County’s progress toward reaching the organization’s Strategic Initiatives, Bold Goals and Five-Year Targets in the areas of Economy, Environment, Quality of Life, and Governance outlined in the Leon County Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. Following the update, the Board will review and update the FY 2022-2026 Strategic Plan, which guides the County’s efforts at every level of the organization and provides a foundation for setting the standard in public service.

Also, as part of the day, the Board will receive a legislative update on Property Tax Reform and its potential impacts on the County's budget. Additionally, the Board will receive an update on the development of the County's Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy, which is intended to help Leon County implement and manage AI technologies responsibly and effectively.
