County Opens New Dog Park with Tricks and Treats

Leon County opens first dog park on Halloween

WHO:              Leon County

WHAT:            Bradfordville Dog Park Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WHEN:           Thursday, October 31, at 2 p.m.

WHERE:         Near the Bradfordville Community Center, 6808 Beech Ridge Trail

Leon County will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of its first dog park at 2 p.m. on October 31 near the Bradfordville Community Center, 6808 Beech Ridge Trail. Community members are invited to attend with their dogs dressed to impress in Halloween costumes to celebrate this great new County amenity.

The new dog park is adjacent to the County’s Bradfordville Community Center and conveniently located for residents in the northeast part of the County. The dog park is unique for our community because it provides approximately 13 acres of off-leash space for all of our four-legged friends to co-mingle and play. For pet owners, the facility will have two benches and a shade covering to take a rest and meet other dog-parents.

Big Dog Rescue will be in attendance with adoptable dogs and there will be human and dog treats available from Lucy and Leo’s Bakery.
