Leon County Government’s Booked for Lunch continues with popular regional author Dawn Lee McKenna on Thursday, March 21, at 12:15 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library, 200 W. Park Ave.
Join us for an illuminating hour-long conversation with McKenna about her creative writing process and career. So, bring a bag lunch and enjoy light refreshments.
Dawn Lee McKenna is a Florida native who grew up in South Florida and the Florida Keys. Although she started writing at a young age and submitted her first screenplay to Martin Sheen when she was 15 years old, McKenna did not discover novel writing until she was nearly 20 years old. Publishing her first novel later in life, McKenna is known for authoring the southern fiction novel See You and the bestselling suspense series Forgotten Coast Florida, set in Apalachicola. Her next novel, The Cricket Jar, is set to release August 2019.
