Apply Now for Summer Youth Training Program
Youth between the ages of 14 and 24 can apply now for summer employment
Leon County in partnership with CareerSource Capital Region is now accepting applications for the Summer Youth Training Program. The Summer Youth Training Program is a five-week program in which youth spend the summer working and gaining job experience in a Leon County department.
Youth can apply for positions across many different County departments including Community and Media Relations, Volunteer Services, Emergency Medical Services, Library Services and more. All positions are 20 hours per week and pay $8.46 per hour. Summer employment and training will run from Monday, June 10 through Friday, July 12, 2019.
Leon County and CareerSource Capital Region’s partnership gives youth more professional development opportunities through Dynamic Futures, their training program for young adults. CareerSource Capital Region will help youth learn important skills such as goal-setting, budgeting, time management, customer service and so much more.
Interested youth should apply now at www.LeonCountyFL.gov/SummerYouth. The application deadline is Friday, March 29 at 5 p.m.
