Leon County Government is now accepting applications for the Summer Youth Training Program. In partnership with CareerSource Capital Region, the Summer Youth Training Program is a five-week program in which youth gain job experience by working with a Leon County department over the summer.
Â
Youth can apply for positions across various County departments, including Community and Media Relations, Volunteer Services, Animal Control, Library Services and more. All positions are 20 hours per week and pay $11 per hour. Summer employment and training will run from Monday, June 19 through Friday, July 21, 2023.
Â
Leon County and CareerSource Capital Region’s partnership gives youth more professional development opportunities through the Learn, Earn and Advance Program (LEAP), a training program for young adults. CareerSource Capital Region will help youth learn important skills such as goal-setting, budgeting, time management, customer service and so much more.

Interested youth should apply now at LeonCountyFL.gov/SummerYouth. The application deadline is Friday, May 5 at 5 p.m.
