Andy’s Room, Gingerbread Houses and Winter Fun at the Library

Winter has a lot to offer at all County Library locations!
Join Leon County for Andy's Room: Life-Sized Toy Box event on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue. Citizens are also invited to attend and participate in the Library’s Gingerbread House Competition from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Children preschool-aged through elementary are invited to step into the world of Disney’s classic Toy Story with a life-sized version of Andy's Room. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics activities and more.
This free community event will also feature a live reading of “Toy Story 4: Little Golden Book,” by author Josh Crute at 3 p.m. in the County Main Library. Crute is a children’s book author with a Masters in Fine Arts in Film Production from Florida State University.
Library patrons can also experience Andy’s Room: Life-Sized Toy Box on Saturday, December 7 at the following library locations:
- B.L. Perry, Jr., Branch Library 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Eastside Branch Library 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Jane G. Sauls Fort Braden Branch Library 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Northeast Branch Library 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Woodville Branch Library 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- *Lake Jackson Branch Library will have Andy's Room on Saturday, December 14, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. during their Game Day.
The Main Library’s Gingerbread House Competition features three categories: Most Creative, the Classic OG (Original Gingerbread) and Best of Kits and Molds. Winners in each category will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Click here to register or visit your favorite Library location to fill out a registration form. Please register by 6 p.m. Friday, December 6.
