There’s Still Time to Provide Input on the Land Use and Mobility Proposed Objectives
Earlier this year community members were given the opportunity to provide input on the future growth and development of Tallahassee-Leon County in several different ways as part of the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department’s update to the Land Use and Mobility Elements of the Tallahassee-Leon County Comprehensive Plan. First, members of the public were invited out to Public Open Houses to get an overview of general concepts that the update’s goals and proposed objectives are tackling. Second, residents have the opportunity to participate in a Digital Survey Workshop where they can get a better sense of a number of themes these objectives are addressing and provide feedback. Finally, the Planning Department hosted a number of Deep Dive Workshops where they sought detailed input on the language of each objective, how to measure success, and gathered information to assist in the writing of draft policies in the future.
If you were not able to attend one of the Deep Dives, or did and want to provide additional feedback, you may do so at www.talgov.com/landuseupdate. There, you will be able to watch video discussions of the proposed objectives, find a packet of reference materials, and fill out a survey to provide detailed input on each proposed objective.
If a Deep Dive is a little too in-depth for your tastes, you may still provide input, via the Digital Survey Workshop.
Please reach out to the Planning Department directly if you have any questions at planning@talgov.com or (850) 891-6400.
