Temporary Road Closure of Old Bainbridge RoadÂ
Taking place until May 2026, Old Bainbridge Road will experience a temporary segmented closure between Tharpe Street and High Road to support the City of Tallahassee's Water Main Replacement Project. The project bounds run from Tharpe Street to Stone Road and from Cottage Grove Road to Swatts Road.
To minimize impacts during the holiday season, the roadway will reopen from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Sunday, January 4, 2026. The closure will then resume on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 9 a.m. and continue through May 2026.
Southbound traffic on Old Bainbridge Road will be detoured south onto High Road then east onto Tharpe Street to Old Bainbridge Road. Northbound traffic will be detoured west onto Tharpe Street then north onto High Road to Old Bainbridge.
