Registration for the competition opens on Saturday, November 23, at 8 a.m., and closes on Friday, December 6, at 1 p.m.
The competition includes five age divisions, allowing the whole family to participate, plus a special Tallahassee-Leon County Bicentennial division. Judges will select one winner and honorable mention from each category and attendees will select the People’s Choice award winner and honorable mention to receive a gift card prize.Â
Creations must be dropped off for the competition on Saturday, December 7, between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. at the downtown Main Library. The sweet submissions will be displayed from 1 to 3 p.m. During the event, the public is invited to participate in hands-on activities for youth. Competition winners will be announced during a ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
In addition to the competition, citizens are invited to attend gingerbread-themed events throughout November and December at all library locations.
