Message from Library Director Pamela Monroe

As we move into the holiday season, I always remind myself that this time of the year is for family. While you may be busy preparing for guests, shopping, traveling, and entertaining, there is nothing like pulling the family together for a good story.

All stories don’t have to be read. Kanopy, our video streaming service, has curated a wide variety of entertainment options. Whether it be a British comedy or a deep dive into documentaries, Kanopy has something for everyone (Kanopy Kids is pretty great, too!). So gather up the kids (or dogs, or cats, or whomever you like to cuddle with) and see what you can find using your library card.

If movies aren’t your thing, we are always here for you with a good book in various formats, including print, ebooks, and e-audio. The most important thing is to share it with the ones you love. Stories have the power to make us feel good, and during this time of the year, they help remind us to take a step back and remember what the holidays are all about.
