Volunteer during Leon County’s 2026 Arbor Day event to help plant trees in celebration of Florida Arbor Day on Saturday, January 24, at 8 a.m. at St. Marks Headwaters Greenway Buck Lake Trailhead, 10995 Buck Lake Road. This event supports and strengthens the hundreds of native and migratory species that call Leon County home, while also contributing to the beautification of the community and the overall improvement of the environment.

Leon County Adopt-A-Tree Program
Apply by January 31, 2026
For more than 30 years, Leon County Government has proudly supported our native ecosystem through the Adopt-A-Tree Program, which provides unincorporated County residents the opportunity to have a tree planted on their property for free. Now through January 31, 2026, residents can choose from three tree varieties while supplies last: Pawpaw, American Elm, and Blackgum.

Leon Works Expo Exhibitor Registration Now Open
Register as an exhibitor by Friday, April 3.

Make connections and build opportunities as an exhibitor during the 11th annual Leon Works Expo. Leon County Government and the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality will host the Expo on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. This is a unique opportunity to connect high school students who will soon be entering the workforce with potential employers and the chance to explore skilled careers.
