Leon County Government invites the community to explore Leon County’s haunted history during the next event in the award-winning Library Lecture Series, Haunted Tallahassee: Legends, Lore, and Local Memory, on Wednesday, October 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the downtown Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue.
Historian and storyteller Stephanie Chandler of Storied Paths will guide attendees through the legends, lore, and memories that have shaped our community. Using oral traditions, eyewitness accounts, and historical research, the program highlights how myths preserve memory and reflect the struggles, tragedies, and transformations of Leon County’s past.
This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
Since 2017, the Leon County Library Lecture Series has featured dozens of local, regional, and national speakers to engage and inspire the community with thoughtful discussions about topics in the arts and sciences.
