Businesses and Residents Invited to Celebrate Opening of Kinhega Roundabout
With traffic resuming Sunday, August 16, Leon County Government will celebrate the completion of the Kinhega Drive Roundabout project at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, August 19, at 10 a.m. at Z Bardhi’s Italian Cuisine, 3596 Kinhega Dr.
The Kinhega Drive Roundabout will allow drivers better access to both existing and future commercial development, while also alleviating traffic congestion. The redesigned roundabout included a slip lane, stormwater treatment, pedestrian connectivity and landscaping.
In just the few short months of summer break, Leon County opened the Kinhega Roundabout to traffic. The Kinhega Drive Improvements represent the final segment of an interconnection improvement known as the Beech Ridge Trail Extension.
Throughout construction, Leon County Government promoted local businesses in the Kinhega Drive area because Leon County knows when construction starts, business doesn’t stop.
