State to Open Five Points of Distribution at County Sites for Residents Following Helene
The State of Florida, in close coordination with Leon County, will open five points of distribution (POD) in response to the impacts of Hurricane Helene in the community. Each site will have water, shelf-stable meals and tarps available for residents at no cost, while supplies last. Once opened, each location will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to the State, the following POD sites are open now, Saturday, September 28:
- Leon County Jane G. Sauls Fort Braden Branch Library, 16327 Blountstown Hwy.
- Leon County J. Lewis Sr. Woodville Park and Recreation Complex, 1492 J. Lewis Hall Sr.
- Leon County Fred George Greenway Park, 4830 Fred George Rd.

Further, and according to the State, the following POD sites will open later today, September 28:
- Leon County Miccosukee Community Center, 13887 Moccasin Gap Rd.
- Leon County Apalachee Regional Park, 7550 Apalachee Pkwy.
