Leon County Libraries Kick-Off Summer Reading Program

WHO: Leon County
WHAT: Summer Reading Program Kick-Off
WHEN: Saturday, May 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: All Seven LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library Locations

Leon County knows that summer reading is essential to keep children thinking creatively in preparation for the upcoming school year. On Saturday, May 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Leon County invites the community to the Summer Reading Program Kick-Off events at each County library location. The kick-offs will feature games and activities to keep children actively reading throughout the summer. Patrons may also pick up their summer reading log at any of the County library locations to record their titles.

Beginning on Monday, June 6 at 6:30 p.m., the LeRoy Collins Leon County Main Library will host Monday Nights @ Main. The summer event series will begin with a Get in the Game event, reflecting the theme of the Summer Reading Program. Monday Nights @ Main, sponsored by The Friends of the Library, will take place every Monday night at the Main Library until July 25, and will include activities like theater, dance, science and so much more.
