Leon County Partners with Local Organizations
to Give Back to the Community
This message serves as a media advisory regarding Leon County Government’s participation in The Big Event Tallahassee.
Leon County will participate as a service site for The Big Event Tallahassee on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m. at Jackson View, 2585 Clara Kee Boulevard.
For the 13th consecutive year, The Big Event Tallahassee will bring the community together for one of the largest, one-day, student-run service projects in the nation. This year, The Big Event Tallahassee is expanding its participation to over 1,500 students, furthering its contribution to the community.
The County service site will engage college students from all of our universities and colleges in not only a day of service, but also a discussion about the role of parks and why they are important. Leon County will facilitate the discussion with students from Florida State University, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Tallahassee Community College.
