County Sets Record with Six Statewide Awards for Outstanding Public Relations
Leon County Government has been honored with six Awards of Distinction for outstanding public relations from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA). This marks the most statewide awards received from FPRA in the County’s history. Honoring top communications teams in the region, FPRA’s Annual Golden Image Awards exemplifies public relations excellence in the state of Florida.
"The award-winning projects of 2024 underscore the unwavering commitment of Leon County government to deliver timely, relevant, and engaging communication to all of the citizens we serve,” said Leon County Commission Chair Carolyn D. Cummings. “The communication efforts of our County continue to exceed expectations, and to reach citizens in innovative and impactful ways.”
Out of many entries submitted from public relations agencies and teams across the state, Leon County earned Awards of Distinction for the following projects:
“Leon County is dedicated to working alongside residents to deliver exceptional essential services,” said Leon County Administrator Vincent S. Long. “Our collaborative approach to co-creating our community hinges on highly effective communication between the County and those we serve. Our Community and Media Relations team consistently finds new ways to gather feedback, promote transparency, and connect citizens to our many County programs.”
