During Pandemic Response, Community Partners Remind Residents to Prepare for the 2020 Hurricane Season

WHERE: Outside the Public Safety Complex, 911 Easterwood Drive
Local leaders will host a press conference on Monday, June 1, to discuss the upcoming hurricane season and reinforce the importance of disaster preparedness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The physically distanced event will be held at 10 a.m. at the Public Safety Complex, 911 Easterwood Drive, with representatives from Leon County Government, City of Tallahassee, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Department of Health-Leon County and the National Weather Service. Experts will discuss additional measures the community should consider when preparing their family plans in advance of a storm and considering the public health threat of the coronavirus.
