Leon County Seeks Art Submissions for Trail-Themed Exhibition Celebrating 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships

In celebration of the World Athletics Cross Country Championships on January 10, 2026, Leon County Government invites residents of all ages to submit artwork for the upcoming exhibition All Trails Lead to Leon County. The exhibit will be on display at the Leon County Main Library, 200 West Park Avenue, from December 2, 2025, through January 11, 2026.

As the Capital of Cross Country, Tallahassee-Leon County is home to the internationally recognized cross country course at Leon County’s Apalachee Regional Park, the venue for the 2026 World Athletics Cross Country Championships. On January 10, 2026, the world’s top runners will compete on this renowned course, marking the event’s first return to the United States in more than 30 years. To honor this global moment and its ties to the community, the exhibition will showcase local artwork inspired by running, trails, and the natural beauty of Leon County.
The public is invited to attend the opening reception of the All Trails Lead to Leon County exhibition on Saturday, December 6, from 1-2 p.m. at the Leon County Main Library. Light refreshments will be provided.
