The Leon County Division of Veteran Services mission is to assist Veterans and their dependents in securing all entitled benefits earned through honorable military service and to advocate for Veteran's interests in the community.

Summary of Services
The Leon County Veteran Services Division functions to serve the Veterans of Leon County in every capacity regarding their military service or Veterans status including, but not limited to, the following:
Assist veterans and their dependents in filing claims for Service-Connected Disability Compensation, Non-Service Connected Pensions, Dependency Indemnity Compensation and other Department of Veterans Affairs benefits from claim origination through the end of the appeal, if necessary.
Provides direct Emergency Assistance and partners with other entities to support the basic living needs of Leon County Veterans.
Assist Veterans and their surviving spouses in obtaining applicable property tax exemptions and discounts from the Leon County Property Appraiser. To see a list of current exemptions offered please click HERE.
Assist veterans and their dependents in obtaining V.A. Medical Care (APPLY HERE) and VA Life Insurance.
Assist veterans and their dependents in filing for Educational (APPLY HERE) and Vocational Rehabilitation benefits at institutions of higher learning and on the job training.
We may be able to access your discharge if you have previously applied for Department of Veterans Affairs monetary benefits or if you have obtained services from us in the past. If not, we can assist you in Obtaining your DD Form 214 or other Military Records (ORDER HERE)
Assist veterans in Upgrading or Correcting Military Records (ONLINE APPS: Army Review Board; Navy Board for Correction; Air Force Board for Correction (Info Only). How to Upgrade Your Discharge
