The Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library gifted Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headsets to the library system.

Kanopy Streaming services were funded by the Friends.

Leon County Through the Endowment for Excellence, the Friends funded the online video streaming service, Kanopy.

25th Anniversary of the Collins Main Library.

A $100,000 donation was presented at the Author Event featuring Lisa Scottoline, culminating the 25th anniversary celebration of the Main Library Grand Opening.

The Friends of the Library presented a $100,000 donation at the Leon County Board of County Commissioners meeting.

2014

The Friends make donation for audiovisual equipment at the Northeast Branch.

The Friends of the Library and the Bruce J. Host Library Center Fund donated $7,644 to be used for equipment and installation costs for an up-to-date audiovisual system for the program room at the Northeast Branch Library. The donation was presented at the Leon County Board of County Commissioners meeting.

The Friends donated $14, 785 for audiovisual systems for the Collins Main Library program rooms.

Friends donate $100,000.

The Friends of the Library donate $100,000 during the Leon County Board of County Commissioners meeting in July 2008.

2008

The Friends purchase book mobile and book hauler.

With funding from The Friends of the Library and Leon County, the library purchased a new bookmobile and a book hauler for outreach services to seniors.

2007

The Forming of the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library was formed by the American Association of University Women to generate public support for a library. Tallahassee was the only state capital in the United States not offering free public library service.
