Mission
The purpose of the Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library is to raise funds for the library system, and to promote library programs and activities.

There are currently 13 Board of Directors who serve without compensation and direct the activities of The Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library. They are responsible for ensuring the effective governance of fiscally sound programs as well as the strategic direction of the organization. The Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library raises funds for the library through membership dues, donations, sales of books through the Friendshop, semi-annual books sales and author events. Click here to find out about our current fundraising events.
The Friends of the LeRoy Collins Leon County Public Library has fulfilled its mission by donating funding to the Library since its inception in 1954. Donations have been used for equipment, training, books, programs and materials, and to assist with the literacy program.
