What motivated you to become a Director for the Friends of the Library?

I love books, libraries, and education, so FOL felt like a good fit for me.

 

What superpowers do you bring to the FOL Board?

Event planning, association membership and management experience, and creativity.

 

Where were you born, and how long have you lived in Tallahassee?

Born in Washington State, lived in TLH since 1985.

 

What is your favorite reading genres?

Historical fiction, biographies, legal thrillers.

 

What is your favorite book of all time?

That is a tough one!  Some of my favs are: The Devil in the White City; Isaacson’s Leonardo Da Vinci; Boardwalk Empire; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

 

Name three recent books you would highly recommend:

The Second Mrs. Astor; A Daughter’s Kaddish; Green Lights- Matthew McConaughey

 

Do you prefer to read printed books, ebooks or audiobooks?

All three!

 

Where is your favorite place to read?

My back porch.

 

What do you do in your spare time?

Study play and screen writing and try my hand at drafting.

 

Are you a dog lover or cat lover?

Depends on the pet I have.  Currently we adore a rescue cat named “Austin.”
