What motivated you to become a Director for the Friends of the Library?

I have been infatuated with reading and the Library since a young age. It was a no

brainer to volunteer for The Friends of the Library.

 

What superpowers do you bring to the FOL Board?

I can work The Friends of the Library into any conversation.

 

Where were you born, and how long have you lived in Tallahassee?

I was born and raised in Tallahassee. I was named after LeRoy Collins daughter.

 

What is your favorite reading genres?

Historical Fiction

 

What is your favorite book of all time?

This is difficult, and this might change, but I will say A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving.

 

Name three recent books you would highly recommend:

  • The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah
  • Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
  • Quit Like A Woman by Holly Whitaker

 

Do you prefer to read printed books, ebooks or audiobooks?

Hardback is my first choice but depending on my urgency to read the book I will accept other options.

 

Where is your favorite place to read?

In bed on a rainy day is ideal.

 

What do you do in your spare time?

Travel, thrift, craft, cook, garden, and hike.

 

Are you a dog lover or cat lover?

Yes. I love all the animals and most recently have become a monarch mom.
