What motivated you to become a Director for the Friends of the Library?
I have wonderful memories of my own local library growing up so becoming a Director is a way for me to help promote and foster that same love for literacy in my community.

What superpowers do you bring to the FOL Board?
My personal love for reading keeps me up to date on the latest and greatest in the book world and I also have a passion for event planning.

Where were you born, and how long have you lived in Tallahassee?
I grew up in Okaloosa County and Tallahassee has been my home for a little over 15 years.

What are your favorite reading genres?

I'm always interested in expanding my literacy palate but my favorite genres are historical fiction, women's history, and murder mysteries (especially the cozy ones with the punny titles!).

What is your favorite book of all time?
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie was an incredibly influential book that sparked my love for mysteries.

Name three recent books you would highly recommend:
Shakespeare's Sisters, The Book of Doors, and Cities of Women

Do you prefer to read printed books, ebooks or audiobooks?
Audiobooks all the way!

Where is your favorite place to read?
I’m usually listening to audiobooks throughout my day but if I read print or my Kindle, my balcony with an iced matcha is the best place!

What do you do in your spare time?
Besides reading, I also spend time volunteering with TMH Animal Therapy, playing board games, and planning local or road trip adventures with friends.

Are you a dog lover or cat lover?
Option #3- guinea pigs!
