James “Jim” Chisholm was a Florida native who began his management career in 1974 as Assistant Leon County Administrator. He had a brief stint as acting Leon County Administrator from August to October 1979 while a search was underway for a permanent administrator. Following the hiring of new County Administrator James Parrish, Chisholm continued in his previous role until 1980.
He later worked as county administrator and city manage for several communities in Florida before spending 17 years as city manager of Daytona Beach from 2004-2021.
