Leon County Government operates under a Council-Manager form of government with an appointed County Administrator. As the County government’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), he provides fiscal, strategic and operational leadership to the organization, as well as sound analysis and professional implementation of the Board’s policies.
Notably, since November 12, 2002, Leon County adheres to governance guided by a Home Rule Charter, meaning the County shall have all powers of self-government not inconsistent with general law, with special law approved by vote of the electors, or with this Charter.
