Selected Junior Apprentices will work in a Leon County department for one semester (5 months).

Yes, students may apply for a maximum of 2 Junior Apprenticeship positions. Please use the same application to apply for both positions. Only the first 2 positions selected by the applicant will be documented.
Past Junior Apprentices are not eligible to reapply for the program, but should consider applying for County’s Summer Youth Training Program.

Yes, students participating in the program will take the Junior Apprenticeship as an elective during their last class period. Before applying to the Program, students should meet with their guidance counselor to discuss whether the Junior Apprenticeship will fit into their course schedule.
During the Dynamic Futures training provided by CareerSource Capital Region, you will learn about budgeting, time management, customer service, being a team player, and more! You will also take courses that will result in certifications for all of the Microsoft Office Suite products and will create a portfolio to showcase your hard work!
