Tony Grippa

Tony Grippa moved to Leon County in 1993 and worked as the executive director of the Florida Workers’ Compensation Insurance Guaranty Association. He was elected to the Leon County Board of County Commissioners in 2000 to represent the citizens of District 4. During his six years in office, Grippa focused on increasing government services and tax relief for senior citizens, preserving neighborhoods, offering incentives to attract “clean” industry to the community, and increasing senior centers and after school activities for children. He served as Chairman from 2002-2003 He stepped down two years early during his second term to pursue other career opportunities.
