Oscar Charles Van Brunt

Oscar Charles Van Brunt was born in Lake Iamonia community in Leon County, Florida, on March 10, 1866. He was a member of the mercantile firm Van Brunt and DeMilley and later a senior member of the hardware firm Van Brunt and Yon, which was located on East Jefferson Street. He served on the Leon County Board of County Commissioners from 1914-1915. He resigned from the Board when he was appointed by Governor Park Trammell to serve as Clerk of the Leon County Circuit Court. He died on August 16, 1929, and is buried at Old City Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida.
