Kristin Dozier grew up in Tallahassee and earned a master’s degree in Religious Ethics and Philosophy from Florida State University. Dozier spent 11 years at Mad Dog Construction, holding numerous positions including Green Building Advisor and Vice President. Dozier was elected to the Leon County Board of County Commissioners in 2010, representing District 5. During her 12 years in office, Dozier focused on balancing economic development and environmental protection as well as infrastructure and the arts. She supported the creation of the Public Safety Complex, the amphitheater at Cascades Park, and the Amazon Fulfillment Center. She served as Board Chair for the 2013-2014 term. She also supported economic development in the community as Chair of the Leon County Research and Development Authority Board for three terms and worked to secure a business incubator for startups at Innovation Park.
