James Joseph Yokum

James Joseph Yokum was born in Georgia in 1846. He worked as a bookbinder in Tallahassee, Florida, from the 1860s-1870s and served on the Leon County Board of County Commissioners from 1873-1874. He later moved north and became a manuscript binder at the Library of Congress until his retirement. He died on July 29, 1935, and is buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
