Andrew Jackson Fish was born in Schuyler County, New York, on November 5, 1833. He enlisted in the Union Army in 1862 during the American Civil War and served in Company A & F, 161st NY Infantry. He later moved to Tallahassee, Florida, and served on the Leon County Board of County Commissioners from 1871-1872. He was a builder and owner of the Tin Front Store on Monroe Street. Fish died on December 24, 1903, and is buried at Old City Cemetery.
