Love to get outside and volunteer?

After three consecutive years of litter clean-ups on Lake Jackson and Lake Iamonia, last year’s clean-up was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is returning this year in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Volunteers will spend the morning in canoes and kayaks cleaning up litter. Canoes and kayaks will be provided for those that don’t have their own, and beginners are welcome to join, as instructors will be on-site. Lunch will be served afterwards.

Minors are encouraged to attend, but must be accompanied by a parent. Kids 12 and under should be in a canoe with an adult.

A limited number of canoes and kayaks will be available for use at Williams Landing. Please identify your boat preference during registration. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own canoe/kayak to join the clean-up efforts. Volunteers may also choose to stay on land and assist with the lake shore clean-up.

We will meet at 951 Williams Landing Road, at 9:00 am. Volunteers will be on hand to direct parking.
