Leon County Library Summer Reading Program

Throughout June and July, join us for entertaining and educational summer programming around the theme “Oceans of Possibilities,” celebrating the diverse programs and services available at the Leon County Public Library.

Summer Reading Challenge with Beanstack

Join our Summer Reading Challenge with Beanstack - the library's fun new reading challenge tracker! Youth can participate and earn cool badges by reading 20 minutes each day and attending library programs. Children and teens up to 18 years old may enter between June 6 and July 31 for a chance to win summer prizes sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Winners will be announced on August 10.

Adults (18+) are also invited to participate via Beanstack with the Adult Summer Reading Challenge and earn ocean-themed badges throuout the summer. (Please note that adults will not be entered to win summer reading prizes.)

Select from this list of librarian-curated recommendations for youth, or find your own books. Then log them on Beanstack or download the Beanstack app to keep track on the go! To get started, just create a Beanstack account for yourself or your family, and then take part in the challenge for your age group.
