Customer Engagement Services

Department of Development Support and Environmental Management (DSEM) provides one-stop permitting and processing services related to development activities, and consists of five divisions: Building Plans Review & Inspection, Development Services, Environmental Services, Customer Engagement Services and Permit and Code Services.  The primary mission of DSEM is to ensure the continued vitality of the County, including both the built and natural environments, by promoting awareness and compliance with the Board’s adopted growth management regulations.

The Customer Engagement Services Division is the central intake point of building and environmental permit applications, and the processing of associated permit fees.  Permit Technicians are available to assist customers with submitting building and environmental permit applications, and staff are also available to offer electronic recording of documents with the Clerk of the Court's Office as an added customer service.
