What encouraged you to work in this career field?
Wanting to be involved in something that has and will continue to change the way we communicate and do business in today’s world.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
I would have to say being able to resolve problems for customers. The expression of relief and a smile on their faces rewards significantly.

What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy the process of collective thinking with peers and vendors and department heads alike to become innovative in or profession to obtain results.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is my ability to overcome obstacles and challenges after my Marine Corp service ended to finally arrive at the very place I see myself at the end of the day.

What motivates you daily?
The very thing that motivates me every day is the idea that my team and I along with all supporting staff in the City ISS Department accomplish great things to keep Tallahassee’s network stable and reliable.

What education/training does a person need to get started in your field?
I would say get your hands on any kind of computer and or networking equipment available to you. The key is to understand what it is and how it works. That was the baseline experience I received at Keiser University’s IT program. CCNA, CompTIA, Network+ are also valuable certifications to have as well.

What advice do you have for those considering entering into a career in your career field?
Just never give up!
