CRTPA Citizens Multi-modal Advisory Committee (CMAC)

Responsibility:
As a broad cross-section of local residents, the CMAC makes recommendations to the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency Board regarding the development of an efficient, safe, and cost-effective transportation system that considers the needs of users of all modes of transportation, including bicycle/pedestrian and transit.

Appointments:
3 citizen members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners (Commissioners who are voting CRTPA Board Members, each makes one appointment).
 

Terms:
Term is for one year expiring on December 31. Citizen members of the CMAC serve renewable terms at the pleasure of the CRTPA Board Member who appoints them. Terms are reconsidered for renewal at the end of each calendar year, no later than the November CRTPA Meeting, and with new appointments being active in January of the next calendar year. Should an appointing entity no longer serve on the CRTPA, their representative to the CMAC will cease to serve on the CMAC. A new citizen member will be appointed by the new CRTPA Board Member, or the new CRTPA Board Member can choose to reappoint the previous citizen representative if appropriate. 

Eligibility Criteria:
Citizens from throughout the county may be appointed and should have an interest in the broad variety of modes of transportation; such as, commuting, cycling, pedestrian, and transit.  

Schedule:
Monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Meeting schedules can be found at www.crtpa.org/crtpa-meetings.html
