Viral Voices: Sharing Your Pandemic Experience

The Viral Voices: Sharing Your Pandemic Story project empowers Leon County citizens in grades K-12 to share their personal narratives about life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Make your voice heard; we’re looking for your stories, poems, letters, photographs, artwork, spoken word, music and short videos. Share your experience, whether it is inspirational, funny, sad or frustrated. Your stories are part of our County’s history.

Looking for inspiration for your submission? Select one of the following prompts. You are also welcome to use an idea of your own choice.

  • What is your experience with COVID-19?
  • How has the COVID-19 pandemic changed your life? How do you think your life will change long-term?
  • What is the most important thing that you have learned during the COVID-19 pandemic?
  • What have you done to stay healthy and happy during the COVID-19 pandemic?

Parents or legal guardians must complete and submit the electronic permission form below or click here for youth to participate.

Please note that these submissions will be made public; do not include any information that would identify yourself or anyone else, including your last name, personal photos, personal address, and information that would identify specific medical conditions. Submissions cannot contain nudity, profanity, references to gang activity, or references to alcohol or tobacco use. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines will not be used.
