HOME REHABILITATION/EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR PROGRAM
(Non-Mobile Home)
Funds will be awarded to eligible homeowners living in the unincorporated areas of Leon County in need of rehabilitation of their home related to a dire situation that needs to be mitigated immediately via a short term and/or permanent repair most typically funded by a deferred payment, forgivable, noninterest-bearing loan although grants for minimal, temporary repairs may be provided.
Emergency Home Repairs most often include damaged/leaking roof, damaged windows causing exposure to the elements, electrical, plumbing, or septic problems that could cause damage to the home or to remediate an immediate health hazard to the occupants.
If you live inside City limits (Tax Code 1) please contact the City of Tallahassee for emergency repairs on non-Mobile Home dwellings.
Applications will be accepted beginning Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 10 a.m., and will be accepted until sufficient applications have been received to expend available funding. Based on program guidelines, applications will be reviewed, and eligible projects may begin thereafter.
Applications for the comprehensive Home Rehabilitation & Home Replacement programs will be accepted starting on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, ONLY from applicants that have attended a workshop.

Please Note: Applications will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Housing Services staff support will be available beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2023, by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled in advance beginning November 30th.
