Leon County will host the 20th Annual Fire Truck Roundup on Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Growing Room Child Development Center, 1271 Metropolitan Blvd. The community is encouraged to attend this fun and exciting appreciation event in honor of Leon County’s volunteer firefighters. Children will be able to explore fire truck equipment and enjoy family-friendly music. Additionally, volunteers will offer free food and drinks, face painting, a bounce house and other giveaways.
The Earl Bacon Insurance Agency, which has sponsored this event for the past 20 years, will make a donation to each Volunteer Firefighter Department in honor of Jack Harron, former Miccosukee Fire Chief who lost a battle with cancer.
