Bryan M. Desloge earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Real Estate from Florida State University in 1983. After college, he spent almost 10 years with IBM in the Florida Panhandle working with public sector accounts in an administrative and marketing capacity. After IBM, he started and built Desloge Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment, a Tallahassee company that specializes in providing durable home medical equipment and respiratory services. The success of the company was validated when it was included in the prestigious INC. 500 List, which recognizes the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. He has served as president of Desloge Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment through 2013 and is still active in the business.
He participates in many professional and charitable organizations. He is 2nd Vice President of the National Association of Counties Board will be installed as president in July 2016; serves as chair of the NACo Finance Committee; is a member of the NACo Financial Services Corporation Board; a graduate of NACo's County Leadership Institute; is a board member and past President for the Florida Association of Counties Board; and was appointed by the Governor of Florida as the director and and is a past board member of the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend. He is a founding board member of the Village Square Organization and serves as a member of the Knight Creative Community Initiative. He has served as board member and past chair of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce and the Leon County American Red Cross. He has served as a past board member of the Senior Center Foundation; Florida State University, School of Business, Board of Governors and many others. He is a graduate of Leadership Tallahassee and Leadership Florida. He won a two-year term of office in 2006 as Leon County Commissioner for District IV, was elected again unopposed to a four-year term in the 2008 and 2012 elections. He currently serves as member of the Capital Region Transportation Planning Agency (CRTPA) and the Tourist Development Council.
Commissioner Desloge is a native of Tallahassee and a graduate of Leon High School. He and his wife, Beth, have four children: Elizabeth, Lina Marie, Marcella, and Patrick. He is especially proud that his wife’s family has lived in Tallahassee for nine generations, making the birth of his children the tenth generation in the family’s Tallahassee lineage. Outside of his professional and volunteer life, Commissioner Desloge stays active running, cycling, reading and traveling.
